The fund provides exposure to the commodities markets by investing in commodity-linked derivatives, primarily through MFS Commodity Strategy Portfolio, a wholly-owned subsidiary. It may invest up to 25% of its assets in this portfolio, which utilizes commodity-linked futures, options, and swaps, while leveraging its investments.
